Slightly haze golden firm white head. Very lemon, pine, citrus, pale malt. Medium body. Finish is bitter citrus with light pine. Nice.

Black with minimal tan head. Sweet chocolate, ripe berries, vanilla, light bourbon, caramel. Medium bodied. Finish has our first encounter with roasted malts. This is fine but not that interesting.

Mid-sized to small place but has outdoor seating so I’ve never had a hard time getting a spot. Large tap list of theirs with some guests. Beers are always good to well-above. The pizza here is really good and their Detroit style is spot on. Service is nice. A worthy stop for a few pints and some pizza.

A bit of a hike from the nearest station but it’s nice enough I’ve done it a few times. Fairly decent sized space- has an unfinished yet refined feel to it. You order from a window next to the bar. Beers ranged from average to very good and the food was also quite enjoyable. Hard to pin this place down for their atmosphere- stopped in on their anniversary even and we were two of maybe five people there and it was silent. Other times, it’s been busy enough but never too loud. I like this spot but not sure it’s a destination.

An unexpected spot I sort of stumbled on after a beer fest in a nearby park. Decent size space with a ton of taps, though not all were pouring when I visited. Mostly German beers with some local stuff also. Beer quality can vary and I had some great lagers but also a couple that tasted a bit old. Food is mostly German fare -had sausages and a pretzel. Would like to visit again in a more planned visit.

Small place with a standing bar and a few seats across from the bar. Selection is small but usually well-curated. Some small plates for snacking with the beers. Not so much a destination spot but a great addition to a crawl.

Small place with a low bar and an addition small seating area by the door. The bartender is also the brewer. It’s a comfortable, classy place. The beers were all fine though nothing especially great. The plates were tasty enough. Prices were very good. Close to the Nokendai station. A nice stop.

A nice little pub above the brewery. Service was always welcoming and friendly. The house beers range from fine to rather good- I generally think their dark beers are the better ones they make. Small plates go well with their beers. Prices are good. A nice stop and welcome especially since the area is lacking much in the way of craft beer.
