I don't really tick much nowadays. Still enjoy a decent beer just as much, along with the community that Ratebeer originally built. I've not moved to that popular app and never will - It's become a monopoly which is having too much influence on today's craft beer scene.

Draft at The Dutch Oub in Colombo. Hazy golden. Total sweet mango, a little artificial seeming but not bad in any way.

Can in my Colombo apartment before leaving. I’m expecting more from this one. Maybe an exact copy of Lion Stout or maybe even just brewed by them. It’s the same ABV. Anyway, let’s see.. it looks the part. Nicely black with a good beige head. The aroma, the flavour, it doesn’t seem like Lion Stout. It just seems lighter, less going on. Maybe someone more dedicated than me can try them side by side some day, or find out the truth. For me, it time to catch some rest and head to another country. A country with no beer so goodbye Brewver for a while..

Left over can tick in my Colombo apartment before I leave. Damn when I bought this I didn’t think it would be another bloody strong lager. I wouldn’t have bothered. I just saw “tropical” on the can and thought IPA. Of course not, where am I! Anyway, the beer. Nothing tropical about the aroma of flavour. It’s just another crappy park bench strong lager. Drain pout for me.

A big glass at the Irish Pub, Colombo. Drunk outside due to the volume of the band playing inside killing my ear-cells just while ordering the beer. Anyway, at least there’s some people atmosphere which can be pretty hard to find in this city. The beer itself - not much to say. It’s a little more interesting and adventurous than the standard Lion lager but nothing special.

Can at The Dutch Pub, Colombo. It’s light golden and has a minimal aroma of malt. Thin watery bodied and really not much going on at all.

Tried at my hotel bar on the beach in Unawatuna. Yeah it’s nothing special of course. Really extremely dull. To be honest of the had Lion stout at the bar here then this tick and beer add would never have seen the light of day. But they didn’t. So here you go.
