Bottle from the Union Square Market. Lo-ball back at home after a few months of fridge chill.

Hazy, medium pale gold with a quick splash of soda head.
hairy herbal, yogurty, yeasty twang of a nose.
Flavor leans more herbal, with a lot of skin contact. Sour twang with just enough funk. Lemon, peach pit, oaky, slightly moldy or browned apples. Slightly sweet, leaning dry but very fruity & spirited. Very yogurty finish despite the high bubbly factor.

Kinda good.

Single from Ingles mix a six, 11/04/25.

Lo-ball at home. Crispy, unusual bright body, thin shampoo head.
Yeasty, baby powder, not much else on the nose.
Grainy, very slight citrus, mellow lingering herbal, little to no phenols, dusty finish. Lacks flavor but very crispy & refreshing.

This is an American kristalweizen!

12oz can from Bodegas Cervezas in Palermo, picked up by my FIL, stowed in his luggage & flown home. A few months in the fridge while work settled down. Mojito glass at home. Double mash eh?

Not quite pitch black pour with a fluffy, latte brown head.
Smell is boozy chocolate, toffee, dates, & sweet breakfast cereal.
First thing I notice is how thick it is. Burnt raisin, lots of aged hops, sticky - lots of caramel, boozy dates, a little whipped cream. A note of espresso but it's straight up & through all the lingering pine.

Strong & heavy. Very old school.

12oz can from Bodegas Cervezas in Palermo, my go to spot. A few months in the fridge, lo-ball at home.

Thick lathery Guinness, oatmeal-colored head over a protein-hazed iced tea pour.
Strong herbal & sticky malt nose.
Cooked down sweet pineapple & dank, sugary breakfast cereal, hearty babka, sweet nuts. Lingering herbal bitterness. Maple. Really tasty.
Frothy, coating, very slight acid helping it go down nice. #Warm belly.

Twas good.

Brought home from Beer Cellar Palmero. December fresh. A few months in the fridge. Pint at home once it got quiet. Can says to serve at 6c in a tulip. Cute.

Dirty cola brown, lots of initial sugary cascading head but it dies quick.
Weak coffee roast with a slightly jammy nose.
Thin but gunky feels. Goopy malt & raspberry puree, steel, medicinal bitterness & something husky that adds an itchy texture & could be the pistachio. Final clue adds some stale coffee that sticks on the follow through.

The flavor on this one was very mid without a hearty malt backbone. I thought the coconut one on draft was way better, if not just plain heartier.

Only 199 calories.

$2 single fro Appalachian. Stamp batch: 1153SP
Stemless at home. Medium gold, soapy ring of lace, good clarity.
Smell is pushy, with overripe pineapple, faux orange & apple candy. Can says "natural flavors".
Sharp malic acid & sweet-tart, dried pineapple upfront. It's the ripest pineapple ever. There's a slight husky-ness on the tail & aftertaste. It's inoffensive & very tart, at least. Medium-high sweetness.
Sharp, spritz-y, slight sweet slickness.

Pineapple soda.
