Bottled 070226. Clear honey golden with a foamy head. Overripe fruit, mango, resin, papaya, pine, honey, intense aromatic bitter hops, grapefruit zest, some metal, tomatoes, lychee. Intense herbal zesty hoppy bitterness, fruity honey sweetness. Full bodied, creamy texture, lively to soft carbonated, intense long hoppy fruity bittersweet finish. This is one of the beers I always wanted to try. Here it is. It is indeed a fantastic Double IPA, way more grown up as all these hazy double triple IPAs around.

Cloudy amber with a small head. Very buttery, diacetylic, metallic, overripe fruit, caramel, resin, rye, mango, lemon, sourdough. Fruity sweetness, mild dry metallic bitterness, slightly sourish. Medium bodied, oily texture, low carbonation, dry metallic fruity malty sweet finish. Overall a very authentic Franconian Festbier, very complex, yet not mich carbonated, which makes it a bit bland, sadly.

Unclear orange with a creamy head. Very buttery, vanilla, metallic, lemon zest, brioche, overripe stone fruit, some banana. Dry zest metallic bitterness, fruity grainy buttery sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry zesty metallic bittersweet finish. A very good brewpub Helles!

Vibrant orange with a creamy head. Resin, honey, herbal hops, caramel, multivitamin juice, stone fruit, lemon zest. Fruity sweetness, mild hoppy zesty bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry mild hopy zesty fruity sweet finish. A very mildly hopped IPA, solid, but misses the hop punch.

Unclear chestnut brown with a small creamy head. Clove, overripe banana, metal, roasted malt, toffee, caramel, raisins, lemon zest. Malty fruity sweetness, dry mild zesty bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry fruity roasty malty bittersweet finish. Solid Dunkel.

Unclear dark golden with a foamy head. Metal, sourdough, straw, hay, some lemon, cardboard. Mild dry bitterness, slightly sweet. Light bodied, watery texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry bitter finish. A rather crisp NA Helles, not that sweet as many others around, yet very average. Good enough for a refreshing sipper during a hot summer afternoon.

Unclear golden with a fluffy head. Floral hops, butter, vanilla, lemon, grain, hay, lactose, hints of resin and herbal hops. Fruity grainy sweetness, dry hoppy bitterness, light bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonated, dry grainy floral fruity zesty bittersweet finish. What a nice summery lager, tasty, crafty, yet very Franconian.
