Can from Beer52. It pours clear deep golden - blonde with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is fragrant, powdered sugar, banana split, foamy candy, pear drops, melon and custard creams. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, sweet - spicy, peppery, nip of booze, cereal, nuttiness, slightly metallic, bread and biscuit with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy. Not bad, but not super exciting. Fine.

Can (6%) from Beer52. It pours clear deep reddish - brown with with a off-white cap. The aroma is toasty malts, bruised banana, banana bread, dried fruits, cacao nibs, brown bread and malt loaf. The taste is smooth upfront, bitter - sweet, toasty, brown bread, cacao nibs, drying coffee grounds, malt loaf, banana bread, dried fruits, date, muted spice and well hidden alcohol presence with a soft, smooth finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Rounded and super drinkable. No complaints here.

Can from Beer52. It pours clear pans golden - yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is perfumed, apricot, peach, orange marmalade, pear, grassy, herbal and floral. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, decent bitterness, grassy, herbal, cracker, twist of citrus, lemon verbena and some peppery spice with a dry finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Crisp and quenching.

Can from Beer52. It pours hazy pale muted lemon yellow with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is fragrant, floral, damp grass, herbal, spicy, clove, twist of citrus and salty cracker. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, green banana, twist of orangey citrus, minerality, chalky, floral, damp grain and herbal accents with a dry finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Straightforward but quenching.

Can from Fountainhall Wines. It pours lightly hazy golden - blonde with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is bright slightly unripe banana, tangy, twist of orange, peppery, clove, chilli, biscuit, cracker and some orchard fruits. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, warming spice, peppery, clove, crunchy green banana, toasty wheat grains, bread and some estery fruits with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy. Quaffable. Nice subtle spice to it.

Can from Tesco Danestone. It pours clear golden - yellow with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet, white bread, rich tea biscuits, brioche, sponge cake, some spice, pie crust and toasty grains. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, bitter - sweet, heavy sweetness in the malt, brioche, sponge cake, rich tea biscuit, boozey boost, grassy, leafy, floral, peppery spice and toasty grains with a sweet bready and boosty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Undeniably a big boosty malty lagerbier. I like it.
