Bottle from Lidl, Inverurie. It pours clear piss yellow with a bubbly white head. The aroma is fresh hoppy vibes, grassy, pine, crunchy apple, pear drops, melon, lime sherbet and apple skin. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, puckering, zingy and tangy, light acidity, lime sherbet, plum, crunchy apple, white grape and pear with a drying finish. Average body and fine, spritzy carbonation. I like the balance to it. Super chuggable.

Bottle from Fountainhall wines Aberdeen. It pours hazy golden - blonde with a medium fluffy white head. The is kinda chalky upfront, estery, pear drops, melon, plum, touch of apricot, some bubblegum, pink marshmallow, sponge cake and floury bread. The taste of crisp upfront, some dryness and bitterness, pithy, orange peel, pear, melon, crunchy apple, sponge cake, slightly chalky, minerality, spice, clove rock and muted alcohol with a short, dryish finish. Average body and moderate+ foamy carbonation. Decent enough blonde ale. No wowz but drinkable.

Bottle from Westhill Service station. It pours jet black with a thick, fluffy khaki head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark roasted malt, coffee grounds, liquorice, dark fruits & berry, blackcurrant, tobacco, umami, tobacco and rocky road. The taste is smooth, dark roasted malt, robust, charred action, bitter - sweet, dark and dried fruits, blackcurrant, bramble, dark chocolate, coffee grounds, tobacco , toasted fruit cake, burnt toast and some umami with dark roasted finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Robust and flavourful.

Keg at Fierce Abz. It pours lightly hazy pale yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, lemon sherbets, clean, zingy, tangerine, tangelo and wheat crackers. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, minerality, green, grassy, slightly herbal, lemon sherbet, pithy, zesty, verbena, floral vibes, clean and wheat cracker with dry finish. Light body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Bright and quenching. Great summer crusher.

Cask at Archibald Simpsons. It pours clear deep reddish - amber with a sturdy beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, sappy, resin, wood, resin, zingy grapefruit, brown bread and toffee. The taste is dry, bitter, woody, resin, old leather sofa, tannin, pithy, bitter citrus peel, grapefruit and a touch of toffee. Average body and fluff cask carbonation. I like the level of bitterness to this. Decent hoppy amber.

Cask handpull at Archibald Simpsons, Aberdeen. It pours super dark brown to black with a dense deep tan head. The aroma is dark chocolate, cocoa powder, coffee beans, whisky soaked oak, light vanilla, quite fruity, Eccles cake, treacle pudding, malt loaf and dark roasted malt. The taste is smooth, dark roasted malt, toasty, charred, umami, rich coffee, burnt toast, dark chocolate, raisin, dried fruit, toasted fruit loaf, liquorice all-sorts, touch of spice, dull rocky road and warming whisky vibes and dark roasted finale. Medium bodies with fluffy cask carbonation. Works well. Nice condition helps.

Cask at The Howff, Aberdeen. It pours crystal clear golden witt a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fragrant, floral, orange blossom, tangerine, kumquat, apricot and biscuity malt. The taste firmly dry, decent bitterness which builds, snappy biscuit, pithy, zesty, grapefruit, waxy orange peel, dull marmalade and floral accents with some toasty grain through quite a bitter finish. Average body a decent fluffy cask carbonation. Easy going hoppy blonde ale. Far from a game changer, but drinks fine.

500ml bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours ever so slightly hazy golden - yellow with a handsome fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, floral, summer meadow, lavender, juniper, pot pourri, grass, mellow fruitiness, touch of berry and biscuit. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, pleasing level of bitterness, fragrant, rather floral, lavender, jasmine, juniper, grass, wood, pine, berry skin and raspberry pip with a drying, fragrant finale. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Super interesting floral led hop expression. Interesting and enjoyable.
