The Great Northern is an award-winning independent pub and kitchen, offering a menu of locally sourced, seasonal food, complemented by a fantastic selection of wines, ales, craft beers, and spirits.

Our seasonally changing menu has something for everyone, including traditional British pub classics and delicious Sunday roasts. We’re ideally located for a bite to eat before catching a film at the Odyssey Cinema next door, or simply to enjoy a pint in our south-facing suntrap garden. We regularly host summer barbecues on our sun terrace and have a brand-new heated pergola area for cooler evenings.

We also host bi-monthly Tap Takeovers and feature at least two beer festivals each year. We are proud to be Cask and Beer Marque accredited and have been featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for the past seven years.
