Description
Taken over by Good Chemistry Brewing in 2022.
In November 2022, we proudly reopened this cosy city-centre pub as an independently owned freehouse. Our beautifully preserved pub is nationally recognised for its historic interior, which features a backbar dating back to 1865 - potentially the oldest surviving in the country. In January 2025 we were runner-up in CAMRA's inaugural Heritage Award, and were the Bristol choice in an article on the best pub in every English county.
