We’re Mike and Emily - founders, owners and operators! From working in breweries to running some of Bristol’s busiest craft beer bars, we have years of experience in the industry and a genuine love for quality products which are produced by small independent companies.

As the world turned itself upside down in 2020, we took the time to step back and take stock. We recognised that despite the forced closure of pubs and bars, people still wanted to access great beers and carefully selected products. There was a clear need for a business which merged the atmosphere of a craft beer bar with an epic selection of drinks from the best breweries and independent producers from around the globe.

Somewhere which provided the option to have your order delivered straight to your door anywhere in the UK, click and collect from the shop in Bristol and when the time allowed, to sit in and drink beers straight from the fridge or fresh from the taps. And with that, the idea for Alpha Bottle Shop and Tap was born!
It’s been a very long journey. From securing the perfect venue amidst a worldwide pandemic, to completing a full shop fit out (we’ve shed a few tears and had more than our fair share of ‘stress beers’) - we are so excited to finally be opening our doors and welcoming you in!
