In 1941, German U-boats were devastating Allied efforts in the “Battle of the Atlantic.” Their “wolf pack” strategy was stifling British supply ships, thus starving allied vessels of necessary supplies. Something had to be done.

Chosen for this task by Winston Churchill himself was Gilbert Roberts, a charismatic and experienced navigational strategist and commander. Roberts, along with his WRENS-a team of sharp minded women-created a room-sized game of modern day battle ship. They simulated the Wolfpack attacks, and ultimately found their weakness, leading to a strategic plan for a counter attack.

The maneuver was meant to “razz” the German submarines, and the successful implementation by the Allies, which ultimately ended the Battle of the Atlantic, was dubbed Operation Raspberry.

Whether you’re looking for sweet or sour, our strategic combination of raspberry and lime in this fruited sour will be sure to win the “Battle of the Palate.”
