Rating number 9,000! Barrel Reserve draft at brewery. Opaque dark brown pour. Creamy tan ring. Big roasty malt aroma has distinct oaky notes. Added notes of dark chocolate and tobacco. Flavor is bittersweet chocolate, dark fruits, vanilla, oak, bourbon and Milky Way bars. Quite majestic! A rare gem of a brew.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a light brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has bourbon and sweet dark grains with a touch of lactose and a bit of roasted malts. Flavor starts with chocolate, sweet dark grains and bourbon but has a growing slightly bitter roast note.
