Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours earthy very dark brown with a light brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has earthy dark grains and roast with a hint of bitter chocolate underlying. Flavor has a nice roast with slightly dry dark grains and a hint of bitter chocolate backing.
