Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours near black with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has earthy dark grains and a good amount of roasted malts with a bit of chocolate cutting through. Flavor has roasted malts and chocolate with a bit of thin earthy dark grain backing.
