Experience the flavor of Cuiabá with Benedita beer, made with the typical regional sweet, furrundu. Three times elected the best American Stout in Brazil at the Brazilian Beer Competition in Blumenau - SC and at the Copa América da Cerveja in 2018.

Web note: Furrundu is a spreadable Brazilian confectionery that is traditional to the Baixada Cuiabana and Pantanal regions of Mato Grosso.[1] Made of either green papaya or papaya tree bark and melted rapadura, it can be seasoned with various spices such as ginger, cloves, and cinnamon.

Bottle from Total Wine in Vacaville, CA. Pours dark brown with a transient tan head. Aroma is dark malt with some sugary/spicy aspects. Med body or so. Surprisingly dry. Moderately bitter from toasted malt. Flavor is toasted malt with some spice and maybe papaya. Or melon. Different but nice flavor.
