Bottle. Hazy gold with a mostly white head. Aroma is the citrus stand in the piney woods.Maybe a little sweet malt burnt marshmallow. Well balanced with plenty of bitterness supported by a solid but unobtrusive malt base. Solid IPA

Crisp and light copper and honey coloured body with an orange tint and a smaller one to two centimetre tall light beige head. Aroma of crisp dry hops with a citrus and grapefruit kick along with some metal, a bit of earthy malt and a dose of pine near the end. Medium-bodied; Grassy and very citrusey flavour at first with a nice malt balance that shows some biscuits and bread along with a touch of yeast remnants and ending with a grassy dryness and very citrusey sweetness. Aftertaste shows the hop bitterness through the dry flavours with a good balance of malt and a touch of honey and caster sugar on the end. Overall, a nice and balanced beer that shows a touch of hop bitterness, some dry qualities and a bit of malts. Definitely better to me (more American) than the normal Green Man IPA which I tasted horizontally with this one, and worth picking up if you are in the region (this one, and theoretically the normal Green Man IPA to sample horizontally if you have the space). I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Grapevine in Fort Mill, South Carolina on 21-August-2017 for US$2,55 after watching the Eclipse, sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia in Pungoteague, Virginia on 02-September-2017.

Pour is a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is a slight hop berry fruitiness with some slightly sweet malt. Flavor is again a very minimal hop with not much bitterness and some dry bready malt. I don’t think this one is going to win any awards for best IPA of 2016. Not enough hops presence and the malt bill is all wrong for this style.
