An East Meets West Collaboration with Jade Mountain Brewing Company. We brewed a traditional Japanese happoshu (which is 33% rice in the mash) with American grown Zuper Saazer hops. Once fermentation finished, we added a blend of Szechuan peppercorns and kombu to give a floral aroma followed by a slightly umami finish. A unique ale that combines Jade Mountain's innovation and Wynkoop's tradition.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has flora and peppercorn with light straw and a bit of rice backing. Flavor has a nice light flora and peppercorn combination with a of light rice backing.
