Farmhouse Pale Ale is our American interpretation of a hoppy saison. Belgian pilsner malt provides the base for an abundance of American hops and our farmhouse yeast to shine together in this refreshing ale.

Very hazy golden and light bronze coloured body with a thick, six to seven centimetre tall, super soapy and frothy, but microfoamed tan and off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a mountain of foam behind on the top. Aroma of light grass, hay, flowers and a dash of soft herbal hops with some good malt behind the hops and herbal notes that gives off a biscuity and slightly grainy flavour. Aftertaste shows the light yeast notes and some bready qualities with the light hops coming through at the end with a kick of flowers and hay as well, but balanced throughout with an additional complexity coming from the yeast. Overall, a very enjoyable, easy-drinking and light, but pretty complex beer that has some enjoyable hop notes, but nothing bittering and a good balance of malts, but those are soft and biscuity with a kick of grain. Great to sample and well worth trying if you can find it easily (and not too expensive). I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from The Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 11-April-2020 for US$2,96 sampled in my hotel room here in Richmond, Virginia on 25-September-2022.

Volodymyr Zelenskyour is a cloudy blonde with a large white head. Aroma is more saison than pale ale with lots of yeasty funk. Flavor is again a saison all the way. Nice esters with lots of soft carbonation. Not much of a hop but when the yeast can make this taste like saison Dupont I'll let that slide.
