Riwaka is a New Zealand hop variety, known for bold citrussy aromas and perfect for brewing IPAs and Pale Ales like this one. Packed with grapefruit, pineapple and lychee flavours, expect a full-bodied and smooth pale ale that's clean and dry on finish.

Cask at Old Bell, Derby. Pours pale straw with a small foamy almost white head and excellent lacing. The aroma is mainly citrus but melon and mango are there as well. In the mouth it is quite sweet but with some underlying sharpness. Citrus dominates here as well alongside floral hops, grapefruit and hints of spice. A little bitterness in the finish. This is reasonable – but too much citrus for my liking.

Medium creamy white head. Clear golden pour. Light bitterness
