Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a chestnut brown with a finger of white, beige head that lingers. Lovely caramel, chocolate aromas with a mild coffee note underneath as it warms. Palate is very similar...light pepper on the finish. Solid.

On tap at von Trappe Family Lodge. Translucent cola brown color. Creamy beige cap. Aroma of roasted malt and toffee. Flavor follows nose. Herbal malt finish. Tasty.

Draft at Brick Farm, 11/4/22. Dark reddish-brown color, beige head. Sweet caramel, lots of toffee, and bread. Smooth and crushable despite being quite sweet.

Taster at Bierhall. Medium brown, clear, thin off-white head. Tasty, malty, nutty aroma. Taste is malty, nutty, sweet, yeasty. Right on target.

12oz can. Brown chocolate roast caramel aroma. Deep malt tone, creamy, toffee-coffee edged. Medium bodied, pleasant hop balance. Clean but a good amount of depth. Good.

Dark amber pour thick foam. Malt nose.malt flavor with pecan and dry malt. Palate of pecan and bitter walnut. No carbonation.

12 oz, BA Lager Fest in Cyberspace. Aroma has notes of dark bread, plum, nuts. Pours hazy dark amber with a large beige head that takes its sweet time receding. Taste is sweet and roasty with significant bitter herbal hop notes. Probably the best dunkel I’ve had, although my memory is horrible.
