Creamy, toffee aromas balance the bitterness of Munich malts in our roasted brown lager. Although dark in color, Dunkel is medium in body and finishes dry and clean, resulting in a rich lager that can be enjoyed throughout the year.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark copper with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is toasted malt, licorice, raisin, cracker. Slick body, raisin, licorice, cracker, toast, light bitterness, very good.

Can the last of my lagerfest. Cherry brown colored and large frothy head. Nose is toasted malt and caramel. Tastes of toffee, earth, plum, bready, and brown sugar. Smooth and sweet

Growler pour from Meridian Pint. Poured a nice, dark cola color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma was sweet malts, pleasant nutty, toasted malts. Crisp finish. Easy to drink, nice stuff.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Total Wine & More Burlington. Appearance is clear reddish-brown with tons of nice sparkle finger-width foamy beige head with excellent retention and trace lacing. Aroma is rich roasted malted molasses and milder cocoa. Taste is roasted malt-molasses and earth with perhaps a hint of chocolate and cinnamon. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth frothy texture average carbonation with lively ending kick and dry finish as taste. Overall a good representative of the style.

Can. Medium brown body. Frothy, tan head. Aroma of toasted bread, nuts, caramel, herbs. Medium body, watery/silky texture, lively carbonation. Taste of toasted malts, cookies. Light burnt flavor. Very nice.

Can from AJ's. Nose is bread, minerals, bit of caramel and soy. Clear, pretty reddish brown with a low, fine head. Sweet, light roast, nutty, soy notes, caramel notes, raisins, touch of root beer. Somewhat thin and light bodied. Decent.

Bottle, from City Hops. Pours clear reddish brown with small foamy beige head, malty aroma with light caramel, high carbonation, mildly bitter caramel malt taste, biscuit, bit spicy, smooth body, long dry finish. Very good.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Clear dark amber. Aroma of roast, raisin. Taste is roast, coffee, mild hops, raisin. Medium bodied.
