This full-bodied amber lager is brewed in the traditional Märzen style. A blend of light and dark Munich malts creates notes of graham cracker, caramel and bread crust complemented by floral and peppery aromas from Hallertau and Tettnang hops. Say "Prost" with this crisp and celebratory lager.

Can. Clear copper pour with a medium sized foamy off-white head that has good retention and lacing. The aroma is soft with malts, grains and a trace of pine. The taste, like the aroma, is dominated by semi-sweet malts with a nice bready character and some mildly bitter pine on finish. The palate is clean and crisp. Finished short and dry with lingering hoppy bitter pine. Overall: decent--better than the average Oktoberfest brew I get around here. Paired well with some pretzels.

Pretty clean amber colour with an off-white, light-beige frothy head that leaves creamy lacing. Fruity sweet aromas with caramel and decent grassy hops. Mild roasted malt taste with the caramel bite and again, enough hops to cut dry the ending. A nice, easy-drinking Oktoberfest that has a tad more hops to dry the finish.

16oz pour at Max's is a clear, dark orange with some creamy white head. Classic nose and spot on, malty, bready, some treacle, roasted root veg, a little neutral oak. Flavor is bready and doughy and malty, love. Creamy finish and drinks so easy.

12oz can. Rather massive soapy off-white head. Very drinkable, clean, like most Von Trapp beer I've had. A touch more peppery noble hop zest than typical Oktoberfest beer. Pretzel tone, pleasant malt depth. Solid beer.
