Sampled from a firkin at the brewery. Pours black with a light brown head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has lots of sweet chocolate and sweet dark grains with a touch of earthiness underlying. Flavor has rich chocolate and sweet dark grains with a hint of roast in the finish.
