Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a creamy brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a strong bitter chocolate note with some bitter coffee and a strong dark roasted malt backbone. Flavor has bitter chocolate up front but finish is full of strong coffee with a roasted malt backbone.
