Blonde Barley Wine-Style ale

Inspired by an iconic cocktail with a twist of what a modern beer should taste like. A barley wine-style ale shaken up with natural bourbon type flavoring, honey, lemon and cinnamon. It's sweet, it's sour and rich with nostalgia.

Oh my God this is awful. Evil twin WTH? This is a beer that tastes like dental medicine. Strong enough to be like dental medicine but I sure as hell wouldn't want to try to enjoy it and I'm not now. Damn. For the drain.

16 oz. can, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out candied sugar, caramel and toffee. Flavour is along the same lines, with candied sugar, toffee, and vanilla. A little thin and lacking authenticity of flavours. Not very impressive.

Interesting. Fancy hobo beer? Super sweet, fake bournonny and very boozy. Fun stuff, but wouldn't want a whole can myself.

21.09.2018, 1 pint can @ home:
Nice bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head, cloudy orangy golden color. Aroma is slightly dry fruity, yeast, hay, very ripe banana, minerals, alcohol, fruit stones, sap, bark, dried grain, caramel malts, bubblegum. Taste is slightly sweet fruity, sap, dried fruits, minerals, bark, alcohol, very ripe banana, yeast, grass, fruit stones, caramel malts, almond essence, bubblegum. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh boozy and mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough, not really my cup of coffee.

$5.50 can, Beer Run. Pours murky amber with a small beige head. Aroma is caramel, sweet tea with lemon, bubblegum, light booze. Flavor is sweet caramel, butter, booze, toffee, light spice (nutmeg? allspice?), cherry. Interesting. Will let this warm to room temperature before finishing. Lingering boozy mouth.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a murky red-brown color with a large foamy orange-tan head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was sawdust, wood, astringency and perfume. The flavor was sweet with toffee, honey, golden fruit, spruce and cedar. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Pounder: Oak and elderberry nose. Cloudy copper, headless. Caramel, elderberry, oak, allspice, plum, faint maraschino cherry. Full body, moderate carbonation, alcohol well concealed. Nice, especially warm.
