Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a strong licorice note that is backed by rye. Flavor similarly has the licorice note up front that mellows to let bread and rye notes through. The licorice seems out of place.
