Sampled from the tap at the 15th annual MBGSF. Pours a clear brown with a brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has some light roasted malts and honey with some sweet grains and backing earthiness. Flavor has some light roasted malts with earthy dark grains and a bit of sweetness coming from the honey.

On tap at the brewpub. Deep translucent sanguine or garnet body, medium tight tan head. Nose of roasted malts and coffee, sweetened by honey. Soft, creamy body with coffee beans, dark chocolate, and light honey. Silky and rather dry.
