Sampled front the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear brown with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a lot of sweet grain with butterscotch and a hint of nuttiness. Flavor has strong butterscotch note with a bit of dark bread and nuttiness.

Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Grumpy Troll in Mt. Horeb, WI. Appearance a pronounced brown with lighter tone towards the base of the glass and a thn but frothy off white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is unique, kind of weird, molasses and nuts which I can’t say go very well together. Taste is a little better, I think the molasses subsides and the maltier elements come out a bit more. I’m surprised they call it a porter, doesn’t have those elements. Not my fav.
