Yeah, I know it wasn’t served in a weizen glass, usually, I’m anal. Eh, but I’m getting appropriate characteristics. Here’s the rest in a pint glass.
The appearance was a cloudy yellow color. Head dissipated immediately. No lace.
The smell had all of the normal characteristics of a hefeweizen ’ s aromatics - good amount of spicy clove hitting banana esters sweetly. Normal weizen /yeastiness slides in for the balance.
The taste was sweet and \"hefeweizen\" spicy with the appropriate quick sweet to spicy finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the spice to hit but not too harsh.
Overall, hey, despite being in a pint glass, this is a pretty good hefeweizen.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Poured a hazy yellowish orange with a bubbly white head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma had a yeasty note with some sweet wheat and banana with a hint of backing citrus peel. Flavor was similar with wheat and banana in the start and more citrus peel coming out in the finish.
