On tap at the brewpub. Poured near black with a yellowish brown head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma was full of roasted malt, dark chocolate and maple syrup with just a hint of bitter pine. Flavor began with sweet dark chocolate, maple syrup and a bit of roast and was joined by some pine bitterness and a decent amount of alcohol.
