Cask at the brewpub. Poured near black with a ruby hue and a light brown head with a red hue. The head laced and lasted throughout the beer. Aroma was a combination of roasted malts, dark fruits and hints of miso and tartness. Flavor began with roasted malt and dark fruits with a dry slightly tart finish. The beer transitioned from smooth to dry nicely.
