Bottle. Clear, slightly rosy amber with a white head that hangs around awhile. Classic gueuze aroma of old lemons, oak, apricot stones, white wine on the turn. Hints of autumnal fruit. Medium bodied, not really slippery. Moderate carbonation. More cidery taste with moderate sourness and an oaky zinginess.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small fizzy white head. Aromas of mushroomy funk, orange, green apples, light vinegary, light nail polish. Taste has vinegar, nail polish, orange, light herbal, citrus, mandarin.

Corked bottle. Golden color. Oak, citrus, gummibaerchen in the aroma. Sour! Citrus, oak, gummibaerchen and vanilla. Very nice and pleasant.

375ml bottle. Minimally milky, orangey golden to pale amber colour with small to average, thick, frothy, to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity, tangy, funky, vinous and woody aroma, notes of brine, white wine, some nutmeg, oak, a touch of mustard seed, overripe peach and apricot. Taste is tart, dry, vinous, oaky, slightly fruity and funky, tangy, hints of brine, white wine, nutmeg, white balsamico. A tad too extreme for me.

375ml bottle pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice wet wheat green apple barrel funk and horse blanket. Taste is more of the nice funky barnyard notes green apple and dust.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass; bottled on 12/20/2016, best before 12/20/2036. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 2-3 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus zest, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, toasted oak, hay, straw, grass, wet wood, cork, leather, musty funk, wheat, cracker, white bread, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, oak barrels, and pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus zest, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, toasted oak, hay, straw, grass, wet wood, cork, leather, musty funk, wheat, cracker, white bread, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tang/tartness, and Brett/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus zest, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, toasted oak, hay, straw, grass, wet wood, cork, leather, musty funk, wheat, cracker, white bread, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, oak barrels, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a fantastic malt/tart/sourness and yeast/oak spiciness balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/tang/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an amazing gueuze! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, oak barrels, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic/tannic. Amazingly well rounded barnyard Brett/Bacteria complexity; with great oak presence, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Zero residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example. Best in the single cask series I've had yet.
