Flaske fra Bulgarsk mad i Rantzausgade (København), på hytta: klar kobbergylden med ok skum. Aroma og smak av visne blomster og kokte grønnsaker. Ikke mye å glede seg over her, bortsett fra flaskedesignet, som antakelig er det mest forseggjorte jeg har sett (ekstrapoeng her!). På den stilige etiketten greier jeg å se at humlen er Magnum, og at anbefalt serveringstemperatur er 5-7 grader. At jeg hadde den kjøleskapskald hjalp dog ikke.

Bottle, stable bubbly head, clear lightish bronze color, aromar off yeast and vanila, flavor of almond and some vanila with sweet cake maltiness, medium and a little coarse bitterness. Drinkable but quite boring.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of corn and a bit of diacetyl. Sweetish flavor with corn, paper, a bit of butter, a bit of caramel and honey, and a bitterish finish. Light to medium-bodied, some diacetyl in the mouthfeel.

Dosc ladna butelka grawerowana ze zdobieniem itp, ladna elegancka etykieta. Ale to piwo juz tak dobre nie jest jak opakowanie. Srednia piana, kolor ciemno zloty, posmak kukurydziany, niebylo osadu, jakby kellerbier filtrowany, hm... nieco dziwne. W smaku nieco zbozowe, i cytrusowe zarazem.

Smallish white head. Clear yellow body. Nutty earthy herbal aroma with plastic notes. Sweet-dryish earthy nutty taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish herbal mineraly aftertaste with earthy rubbery notes. It’s not bad, but kind of a disappointment. (0.33l bottle, from Maxxima, Vilnius.)

410ml bottle at home. Quite a stylish looking thing, actually. Pours clear gold with virtually no head. Steady stream of bubbles. Aroma is, as others have noted, watery. It really is like smelling a glass of water! Faint honey, faint cardboard. Taste is like many other lagers of this strength, with an additional honeyed sweetness, which gives a bit of body. At the back end some bitterness finally comes through, but separately. The beer doesn’t take you on a journey, so much as half-arsedly show you a couple of things that are far apart.

Ein relativ bekanntes Bier in Litauen, welches seinen Namen dem ehemaligen "Vilkmergės pavietas", einem im 15.Jahrhundert polnischen Powinat auf litauischen Boden verdankt. Die Brauerei gehört inzwischen zum dänischen Brau-Riesen "Royal Unibrew". Es ist ein klassisches Helles ohne besondere Aromen, das sich leicht trinken lässt.
