Grassroot is a Country Lager - or a Saison / Lager Hybrid. After an initial cool fermentation with Belgian Saison yeast we chilled the beer down and pitched Lager yeast, and then cold conditioned it for nearly 2 months. The result is crisp, rustic, and easy drinking.

Yellow body with white head. Malt and grass aroma. Tastes a lot like a saison with creamy notes and a spicy finish. A good hybrid. Except for the lagery notes it's almost like Hennie's boerhuis bier.
