Tap. Almost black. Hints of roast and licorice in the aroma and flavor. Thinnish. Pear. Even a hint of tartness. Pleasant.

0.33 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', bottled in September 2017. Very dark ruby to black with a medium large, foamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity-resiny and a little roasty aroma of caramel, tropical fruits, blueberry and some pine. Quite sweet, malty, fruity-resiny and a bit roasty taste of caramel, nuts, tropical fruits, blueberry, some pine and traces of chocolate, followed by a short, moderately bitter, resiny and unfortunately slightly soapy finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice one, almost a Black IPL, very quaffable with minor flaws.

At Boscafé 't Hijgend Hert, Vijlen. Shared with Anke.
Pours hazy brown with a foamy, off-white head that leaves lacing. The aroma contains candi sugar, (slightly roasted) malt, fruits and yeast. It tastes light sugary sweet and medium hoppy bitter; yeasty, dry finish. Medium body, slick/creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. All is well here.

tap @ in de Wildeman, 15 cl sample. Almost clear dark brown color, medium frothy head. Aroma has slight metallic hints, together with butterscotch and caramel. Bit sweet in taste. Feels much more like a sweet stout than a schwarz, as it doesnt seem to have that much roastiness plus sulphur from the lager yeast. It is pretty tasty though
