22oz 10.2% abv bomber pours with a deep dark black body that supports a full fairly dense dark chocolate mocha like head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The modest aroma offers up subtle dark roasted to burnt malts and chocolate with faint toffee like malts and spicy hops well off in the background. The taste brings a soft smooth somewhat slick mouth feel with rich notes of malt sweetened dark roasted malts and some burnt malts. Toward midway it quickly picks up a pleasing blend of milk chocolate bar and supple sweetened dark roasted coffee. Behind all of those malts and roastiness are murmurs of spicy and bitter hops that have a thin pine hop edge. Lovely roasty sipper where the big abv is hardly noticed. This might as well be a 7% beer.
