Barrel-aged Sour Belgian Ale Aged with Peaches

After over a year on new American oak, our Pêche has really mellowed into an exquisite, peachy thing of beauty. It’s juicy and dry all at the same time, with the fruit and oak character in perfect harmony. This is dessert in a glass, like peaches and cream with lots of tiny bubbles to tantalize your tongue.

Yeast: Abbey and Brettanomyces, hitchhiking peach microbes
Hops: Sterling in the boil
Malt: Sterling in the boil

On tap at Loyal Legion PDX, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of sweet peaches, some tartness, and a touch of acetone. Flavour is complex, with deep peaches, gentle tartness, and some bugs. Buggy, peachy and oaky. Excellent.
