Sample at the Shelton Festival. Pours a clear, dark red color, with a small, pink ring. The nose is black cherries, raspberries, pine, lemon peel, and dry grass. Sweet and fruity, with a lot of tart flavor. Light to medium body, with a sharp acidity, and a sticky palate. Strong, subtle, and very tasty.

Keg at the Bottle Shop - Bermondsey. Pours deep blood-red-purple with a slight, creamy pink head. Gorgeous aroma, lots of cherry flesh. Light-medium sweet flavour with balanced acidity, lots of luscious berries, more jammy cherry, light seedy raspberry. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Richly fruity berry finish, relaxed acidity. Lovely beer.

(On tap @ Mikkeller and Friends, CPH, May 9/18) Aroma is very fruity, cherries are to the fore but with a definite raspberry component, berry seeds, soft almondy cherry pit, oak, wet hay funk, soft earth, some tart berry notes as well. Flavour is fruity, lightly to moderately tart up front, mix of cherry and red berry flesh, raspberry jam, moderate funk mixed between wet earth and something more cellar-like, touches of spice, a little wood, finishing very dry with cherry pit and berry seed, minerals and a bit of a bitter/tannic quality. Light to medium bodied, fairly light carbonation. Good, probably among the most funky SPON variants, but the fruit component still seems a little soft-handed. Inbreak's Atrial/Montmorency cuvee was a better JK raspberry & cherry beer...
