Spritzig, frisch und elegant mit Nuancen von Zitrus- und Orangenschalen. Süffig, mit einer ausgewogenen Malz-Hopfen-Note. Ein Weizen mit einem leckeren, sehr eigenen Profil.

Bottled. An amber beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet wheaty with notes of citrus, and so is the flavor, with a dry wheaty finish.

Süß-herber Antrunk mit deutlicher Wässrigkeit. Ähnlich lasch gehts auch weiter, dabei wird das Bier kurzzeitig malzig, danach tritt die süßlich-herbe Note wieder in den Vordegrund. Keine Meisterleistung! Test vom 15.5.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,6,6,6,8,6 - 6,50

Bottle, thanks MoritzF. Cloudy yellow, big foamy head. Candyish citrus nose, sprinkle of dust. Tea-like dryness, citrus, a bit napkin. Lightish body, herbal and minerally dry finish.

Bottle: Cloudy, mid-sized fluffy head, quite stable, dark yellow coloured; almost sweet fruity notes (citrus, strawberries ?), the inevitable banas and cloves are hardly detectable; slightly sweet, maybe a bit sourish flavour, quite light bodied; short, a bit tart and a bit sweet and fruity finish. all in all not impressive, rather bland and watery..............

(bottle, best before Dec. 2005, bought in Willich-Anrath) Hazy orange colour with a small white foamy head. Dusty and yeasty wheaty aroma with citrus. Slightly sweet malty, but very fruity taste. Yeasty and fruity finish, slightly bitter and hoppy. Not a convincing Weizen, but surely drinkable. I was glad to find a sample of this one, which must have been brewed before the owner change of the brewery.

(Bottle 50 cl) Actually called "Boltens Ur-Weizen". Beautiful honey golden beer with a tall, handsome head. Very carbonated - or "Spritzig" in German. Very dry and not quite as fruity and spicy as the best Hefes. 290700
