330 ml bottle, on the Tallink ferry between Helsinki and Tallin. ABV 11.2%. Black colour, tan head. Roasty aroma, notes of coffee, dark chocolate and liquorice. Medium sweet flavour, distinct notes of liquorice. Also coffee and roast malts.

6 April 2019. At De Kelk, Bruges. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours cloudy jet black with a lasting, small, frothy, dark beige head; lots of lacing. Intense aroma of soy & Worcestershire sauce, beef stock, vanilla, teriyaki, fondant, dried fig, chocolate powder, coffee liqueur, black olive, raisin, hazelnut. Taste is medium malty sweet, fruity notes of raisin, fig & sourish brambleberry stuffed into milk chocolate, sprinkled with vanilla & hazelnut; umami hints of soy, beef & olive in the back; medium roasted bitter core offers coffee roast, fondant & spicy accents. Dryish, peppery hoppy finish, lingering raisin, umami olive, chocolate & vanilla, and a firm dash of warming alcohol (coffee liqueur or brown rum). Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Bit of a weird mix, actually, but it's rich & full, decadent dessert for sure. Happy to have guessed raisin & brown rum (at least I'd expect brown) were in it.

Tap at 100 piv. Alcohol hidden really well. Full bodied, lots of sweetness. Strong chocolateg toffeeish caramelly character, but lacking in terms of hard roast, which is only light. Complexity is barely medium, could be richer. Reativeky highly drinkable on the other hand - especially considering the ABV. Good one.

On tap at Head of Steam in Leicester. Kindly shared by jjsint. Jet black body, tan-coloured head, rich lacing. Vanilla sweet caramel aromas, inviting. Smooth taste of vanilla caramel and chocolate, backbone of lactose. Lingering smooth malty finish. Full bodied. Excellent sipper. (Shared with jjsint and Finn on a Sunday pub crawl in Leicester 10.02.2019).

Keg at the Head of Steam, Leicester, with Rune and Finn. Ooooh this is black. Big creamy tan head as well. Vanilla and caramel domi ate the acent. Taste is sweet, laden with gooey caramel and molasses. Bitter, subsonic hops in the finish to give it balance. Medium to heavy carbonation. An amazing concoction.

18/01/2019 - draught 1/3 pint @Bewdog Brussels Very dark brown, small beige tanned head. Nose is clear dark chocolate, caramel, gentle roast; Taste is dark chocolate, roasted, caramel, bit vanilla. Nice complex balanced stout.
