Sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2018, Day 1. A black beer with a mid sized most good lasting tan head. Aroma of sweet dark malt, liquorice, vanilla. Taste of sweet chocolate, vanilla, some liquorice, some bourbon, quite interesting.

Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, lots and lots of malts, grains, cow fodder, hay, very rural, roasted notes. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very malty start, lots of chocolate. Aftertaste: malty, grains, hay.

On tap. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of vanilla, rich chocolate, mocha and oily roasted malts. Rich flavors of nougat, chocolate, vanilla and sweet roasted malt. Incredible. Thanks RateBeer for losing the first rating...

Bottle split at CBC Covborn, thanks to Ken, 10/10/18. Black with a decent tan cap. Nose is dark fruits, mellow roast, light charr, cocoa powder. Taste comprises dark chocolate, balanced spice, bitter roast, earthy, dusty fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable impy but lacking depth for the style for me.

Bottle from Honestbrew. Rich aroma - chcolate, coffee, liquorice and molasses. Dark and glossy. The beige head fades too quickly. Medium bitter with a creamy sweet edge. My references from the aroma with additional figs and other dark fruit. Medium-thick bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Long finish. I guess the name is accurate. Lively dark and creamy, bitter but sweet. Just read the bottle - of course, it's rum and vanilla!
