Hagström Back to Back is a New England -style DDH Double IPA. Columbus (CTZ) was extensively used as a bittering hop. The aroma hops are Nectaron, Vic Secret and Krush. The light yellow beer has tropical fruity aromas, similar to pineapple, mango and cantaloupe. The taste is very dry with emphasized grapefruit nuances. The aftertaste is extremely bitter and long-lasting. The beer was made at Olarin Panimo in Helsinki.

Keg at launch day.
Poured hazy orange color, thin head.
Mango aroma, tropical juicy with light pineapple notes. Flavor has grapefruit, strong bitterness, leaves you longing for more. IBU shows. Light hop burn but fairly light, nof affecting the score. Amazing.

(Keg at Olarin Panimo Konepaja, 20250702) The beer poured yellow and opaque. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had ripe fruits, mango, grapefruit and spiciness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grapefruit, zesty fruits, floralness, ripe fruits and bitterness. Aftertaste had ripe fruits, resin and bitterness. A very bitter brew but the body survived it.
