Brewed in collaboration with my first brewery boss (back in 2007!) and mentor, Will Meyers of Cambridge Brewing Company. A recreation of CBC's classic "Charles River Porter," an old school American Porter that was brewed at Cambridge for over 35 years. As you can imagine it's big, roastery, hoppy, and, well, robust! It drinks like a liquid time capsule in the best possible way.

On tap at Garden Path, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out toasted malt, some roast, and earthiness. Flavour is much the same, with a robust roasted malt character for a porter, and a dry earthy, bready base. Nicely balanced, robust indeed. Good.
