Madrone Cellars' Local Blend is a sparkling cider made from a blend of San Juan Island grown apples: 36% Island Heritage Apples, 25% Spartan, 20% Liberty, 14% King, 3% Golden Russet, and 2% Kingston Black. Barrel fermented and aged in neutral French Oak. Bottle conditioned. Aromas of oak, vanilla, and pear. On the palate, notes of green apple, pears, lemon zest, guava, oak, and light floral notes. Tasty with creamy cheeses, strawberries, or shellfish.

On tap at Garden Path, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma is full of barnyard funk, musty apple skins, farmhouse notes, and a wonderful clarity to it all. Flavour is complex, with a wonderfully musty farmhouse funk, crisp apple skins, and dry leather. Complex and impeccably constructed. Wonderful.
