I’ll never know and neither will you of the life you don’t choose. We’ll only know that whatever that sister life was, it was important and beautiful and not ours. It was the ghost ship that didn’t carry us. There’s nothing to do but salute it from the shore.
- Cheryl Strayed, The Ghost Ship That Didn’t Carry Us
As we prepare to open our public house, we find ourselves pausing to reflect on how far we’ve come. Cheryl Strayed’s The Ghost Ship That Didn’t Carry Us is a concept that has since offered us comfort when making life decisions. We often find ourselves acknowledging our sister lives from shore, staying rooted in the sand.

16 oz. can, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has a nicely bright hop tang, bright pine, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is bright and clean, with lots of bright piney hops, a nice hop tang, and a dry biscuity malt base. Piney, tangy, and crisp. Excellent.
