Poured up on tap at Tipsy where it exhibits a crystal clear pure gold body that supports a full near white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up booze, floral hops and herbal hoppiness. The taste delivers floral hops bitterness as well as some mineral notes. To midway grapefruit hops and tangy mango and tangelo conspire to pull this in the right direction. Nice sipper with little sense of the big abv.

Aromas are fresh hops leaning slightly towards resin with some citrus and wet grain. Flavors are like nose, with full body, great carbonation and enough bitter to counter plenty of sweet. Finish follows flavors and alcohol is well hidden until the very end. Really good beer.

A hop nuke. White head on golden body. Great hop taste and aroma. Hop finish with a bit of an alcohol burn.

Pint can from Wine Cellar Depere, 8/14/22. If this doesn't end my night I'll be surprised. Drunk, but surprised. Clear amber, thin tan head, average retention. Aroma of citrus, dank, earth, toasted malt. Taste is melon, citrus, dank, pineapple, pine, resin, stone fruit. Some prickly booze, but not bad. Slick, strong bitterness. Quite nice.

From a 473ml can on 15/2/2021. Pours a clear deep golden with a smallish head. The nose is dank, fruity and hoppy, though not huge when considering the size of the beer. Taste wise, it's bold and intense (and one would expect from an 11 per center). There's a big caramel malt backbone, sweet tropical and stone fruit (mango and peach), with a big, dank, resiny bitterness countering, followed by a smidge of warming booze at the back. The mouthfeel slick and syrupy, the carbonation moderate. An enjoyable big sipper, but not for the faint hearted.

473ml can. Clear, orangey golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Piney, citrusy and fruity hoppy, as well as caramel malty aroma, notes of 'Trolli Pfirsichringe', some lemon, grapefruit, a perfumed touch of pine needles and a spicy touch of liquorice. Taste is sweet and bitter, caramel malty and piney, citrusy, fruity and resinous hoppy, pine, resin and liquorice in the foreground, citrusy middle layer with hints of lemon, lemon zest, some grapefruit, grassy, bitter and mineral basic layer, caramel malty socle, cautious peach and mango interludes; lingering, bitter and minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally sticky/sticking (greasy oily not cloying) palate, fine, soft, but efficacious carbonation. Very clean, slightly restricted fruitiness, rather condensed hoppiness - Imperial indeed.
