A throwback to dank and resinous Northwest IPAs. Brewed with Washington grown and malted pilsner malt. Hopped generously with a combination of Chinook Cryo, Cascade, and Citra for a classic piney Northwest hop character. Left unfiltered for maximum hop aroma.

On tap at Fountain, pours a lightly hazy dull blonde with a small white head. Aroma has a rather harsh hop character: there’s bitter pine, but also crunchy pot, and general citrusy abrasiveness. Flavour is a little smother, with pot-like hops, some pine, and bready malt. It’s not the smoothest hop expression. Chinook is one of my favourite hops: why use a cryo version of it? Good but not what it could be.
