Les bières fumées sont faite à partir de malt qui a été fumé. Dans ce cas-ci l'orge a été fumée avec du bois d'hêtre, un classique typique de la ville de Bamberg, et le blé a été fumé au bois de chêne. Le mélange est profond et complexe, supporté par un doux houblonnage et quelques malt grillés. Une bière à contempler confortablement.

Can: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large light brown foamy head with good carbonation and some lacing. Aroma of smoked malt with some caramelized malt notes. Taste is a great mix of smoked malt with some caramelized malt with light residual sugar notes.Body is full for style with good carbonation. Great smoked beer with high drinkability

Clean, copper colour with amber highlights, a light-beige, frothy head, decent stay and thick foamy lacing. Nicely smoked malt aromas with other darker malts, caramel and spicy ones. Wet mouthfeel with just a good touch of light dryness. So, not thick and sticky like some Rauchbiers are. The smokiness is slightly milder, well-blended in the flavours with the kind of rye-spicy and lightly darker malts. Also, some nice toastiness. Quite a good, easy-drinking Rauchbier, with a Marzen-Pils touch.
