Draft at the bar at Final Gravity. Poured a pitch black color, velvet consistency. Dark brown head. Aroma was really nice roasted malts, some light coffee bitterness. Mild dark fruits, roasted grain dominates this one.

Coffee and charred oak aroma, not strong. Cloudy dark brown, thick tan head, good lace. Earthy french roast coffee with a vague berry note. Tree bark finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. A little thin for the style, and the berry note seems out of place, but still enjoyable.

Keg at the brewery. Near black, medium sized creamy tan head, good retention. The taste is roasted malt, coffee, honey. Aroma of roast, leather, dark chocolate. Full bodied, strong lingering bitterness, chewy texture. Nice beer.
