Thanks Brian for the growler.
Poured into a mug, the appearance was a burnt dark copper close to amber color with just a cap of a little white foamy head that fell off pretty quick. Light lace.
The aroma had some earthy to grassy hops sliding into a nice smooth caramel/toffee malt base. Light nuttiness, somewhat roasty. Little bit of toast and projected amount of herbal quality.
The flavor slyly lead the roast to the sweet fairly nice. Nice aftertaste of the same. Finish was somewhat earthy with the malts.
The palate was just a touch under medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt good.
Overall, pretty good Irish ale that I’m used to.
