Nestled at the base of the Cascade mountain range is one of the most fertile and productive growing regions in the world -- the Yakima Valley. This valley grows fifty percent of the apples in the United States and seventy percent of the hops. Tieton Cider Works Yakima Valley Dry-Hopped Cider is a tribute to the part of the world that we call home.

Our fresh pressed juice comes from apples grown in the Pacific Northwest. We created a unique method of dry-hopping that juice with our custom blend of three hops. Pair this cider with chilis and salsa, sweet or spicy flavors inspired from all parts of the globe, or simply a ripe Brie.

Bottle at CiderWISE, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Nose is dry and floral, with dry apples and a musty quality. Flavour is quite musty, with earthy notes, medium sweet apples, and light floral hops. Very well-balanced. The musty floral notes are situated well and in gold harmony with the apples. Nice.

Cloudy pale color. The cider aroma is simple but ok. Mildly acidic flavor, a bit fruity. The hopping is missing.

Location: 500 ml bottle from Central Market, 1/29/14

Aroma: The nose is light with a little apple juice and some soft yeast notes
Appearance: It pours a clear gold color without much head or lace
Flavor: The flavor is on the light side too, slightly tart apple, minimal sweetness
Palate: The body is light, with a soft carbonation, and a short duration
Overall Impression: For some reason I was in a cider mood today, but this didn't totally hit the spot. It isn't bad, but it's a little thin in flavor and feel.

Bottle from the Davis Co-Op. Pours light gold with some white bubbles. Aroma of aged apples. Light nasal burn. Must be the hop? Med body. Flavor is tart apple with a little sweet mixed in. It’s nearly astringently dry. Yet there is a suggestion of sweet in the finish. Rather mouthsmacking. The hop is quite subtle - I can’t pick it out - yet I’ve never had this flavor in cider before - so the hop must be adding something. Gotta be one of the 10 best ciders I’ve had.
